Wild Islay Birding

Wildlife & birdwatching on the Queen of the Hebrides

Enjoy Islay’s abundant wildlife and beautiful scenery on a guided tour of the island.

We offer full & half day tours where Gary, your guide, will introduce you to some of the amazing wildlife Islay has to offer. We can also make alternative arrangements to suit your requirements.

We hope to see many species of birds including Hen Harriers, Chough various divers, waders and small birds around the island. In spring and summer we are visited by Osprey and Corncrake and they are always a delight to see in this Hebridean setting. In the winter we are visited by tens of thousands of geese from the cold north.

Always looking out for the most majestic of birds Golden & White tailed Eagle which can be seen on Islay.

Not forgetting the animals we will look out for Red, Roe and Fallow Deer. Travelling to some secluded spots for basking seals and the elusive otter, not always guaranteed but they are often seen if you know where to look.

There are beautiful beaches, stunning wildflower grasslands and woodlands to explore for island wildlife.

So if you see us online before you visit or if you are on the island and you want someone else to drive for a day let Gary do it for you whilst you enjoy what Islay has to offer.
