Welcome to Callumkill, an estate situated at the South Eastern corner of the Isle of Islay, the southern-most isle of the Inner Hebrides. Callumkill Farmhouse is set high on a ridge with inspiring views over fields of plump sheep, the pagodas of both Ardbeg and Lagavulin distilleries and the sea. On a clear day you can see the Ireland to the west and Arran and the Mull of Kintyre to the east.

The setting is tranquil and remote, yet the town of Port Ellen is only a few miles away and Ardbeg distillery with its full flavoured peaty whisky is at the foot of the farm road. In fact the lochs of Callumkill supply Lagavulin and Ardbeg distilleries with the water that makes those distinctive drams.

On the hills of Callumkill we farm cattle and sheep, provide stalking of red and fallow deer and shooting of wild pheasant, snipe and woodcock and we have two very different properties for holiday let.

Cillebhride (Bridget’s Holy Place) a comfortable spacious  mid terrace cottage with a large enclosed garden  and private parking. Situated   near Loch Indaal  in a picturesque conservation village with post office ,shop fuel pumps cycle hire and Hotel nearby.

It sleeps 5 plus settee bed   3 bedrooms  a  single , double, twin bedded  room with en suite . There is an option for the ensuite to be used  by the other rooms.

Two living rooms one with multi fuel burning stove, both with TV. There is a dvd  radio/cd player also a selection of books, games cassettes cds and binders containing receipes and press cuttings.

The good sized bathroom has a large shower cubicle corner bath wc and sink.. The  large dining kitchen is well equipped and has  dishwasher washing machine, microwave electric cooker and  large fridge freezer coffee maker and sandwich toaster.

The garden has lawn   trees and flower borders   There is a garden room (bothy), with garden furniture and umberella .  In front is a patio and gas barbeque.
